Initial Consultations

Selecting the correct warehouse signage requires careful attention to detail, as material specifications, production methods, and installation approaches all directly impact overall performance.

Most location signs are single-sided, although some applications require double-sided or multi-faced configurations. As designs become more complex, additional planning and consideration are needed. This is where Mr. Warehouse Services provides added value, offering expert guidance backed by extensive experience and a proven archive of previous projects that customers can leverage.

Safety and utility signage require different considerations, where clarity, messaging, and visibility at distance are critical to effectiveness. We assist customers in selecting appropriate sizes, colors, and messaging to ensure optimal readability and impact.

Once the sign type, design, and intended use have been defined, we move on to installation planning and project delivery. Storage location signs are installed using high-grade hardware, and we select the most suitable and cost-effective fixing solution based on each project’s specific requirements.

Design and Planning

Design and Planning

The installation of warehouse signage requires careful planning due to its inherently intrusive nature. Safety is the primary consideration, particularly for bulk storage signs that are typically installed using suspended hardware. In these cases, both installation equipment and mounting locations may be exposed to material handling equipment (MHE) traffic, requiring precise coordination.

Our project management teams work closely with customers to establish access requirements and scheduling plans that allow both operations to function efficiently with minimal disruption.

Following the initial consultation phase, Mr. Warehouse Services’ production team develops detailed drawings, samples, and, where required, physical prototypes of the finished signage. This allows customers to review and approve a tangible representation of the product, which is especially valuable when introducing new systems or layouts within a facility. Additional proofing methods are also used as standard practice, ensuring full alignment before production begins.

Nearly every signage project delivered by Mr. Warehouse Services is custom in nature, giving customers confidence that their identification and barcode signage is tailored specifically to their operational requirements.

Once all details are confirmed, the project team proceeds into full preparation for installation. Unless otherwise specified by the customer, this includes arranging access equipment, installation materials, personnel, and a dedicated lead installation manager on site throughout the project. During installation, regular progress updates are communicated back to head office, along with any issues requiring further review.

This structured approach ensures customers receive a completed project with minimal disruption and maximum cost efficiency.
